About RedShift
RedShift has three departments, Radio, The Hub and Media Services.
Founded by Liz Southall, an avid and dedicated networker, introducer and referral marketeer and Gavin Hammond,
a doctor of Nuclear Physics, RedShift has rapidly established
itself as a popular entertainment and business & community networking
organisation.
Liz (AKA Bizzy Lizzy) has built businesses through relationships, networking and dedicated use (and addiction to) social media and is passionate about helping people by introducing them to the trusted network RedShift Hub members network.
Gavin Hammond, or Dr Gav as he is known on the radio, has a background in local radio and patent writing and is the Station Director at RedShift Radio so brings the all important technical and organisational skills to the business.

RedShift Radio
MISSION STATEMENT
RedShift Radio, the online radio station has been broadcasting since 6th September 2010 from studios in Crewe, Cheshire. With over 70 volunteers presenters working across 45 different shows and supporting behind the scenes, RedShift Radio is a broadcast medium with a wide range of appeal to the community.
RedShift Radio is currently broadcasting online and is funded by RedShift Media Services Ltd whilst it develops brand awareness and the funds necessary to support a full-time community FM radio licence. Radio licences in the UK are issued by Ofcom. One of the rules that Ofcom stipulate is that a Community Radio broadcasting on FM can only source up to 50% of its income from on-air sponsorship and advertising. RedShift Media Services Ltd is set up to help fund the remaining 50% through its other business activities.
The applications for Community Licences in the Cheshire area are expected to be invited by Ofcom in 2013. In preparation for this, a Steering Group has been appointed and the lengthy application procedure has begun.
RedShift Radio has a newly appointed Steering Group made up of 15 local business directors and managers from Crewe and Nantwich and that have supported Liz and Gav in the launch of RedShift.
RedShift Hub
The RedShift Hub is the community network associated with RedShift Radio. The Hub was born out of an early realisation that RedShift was fast becoming a Hub for the communities that we serve. Businesses, schools, charities and community groups can join the Hub and network with each other.
The Hub meet on the last Thursday of every month at different locations around Crewe, Nantwich, Sandbach and Alsager. Members get a page of web space, 12 networking events a year, social media promotion and preferential opportunities to be guests on the radio.
RedShift Media Services
The RedShift Media Services provide a range of services including podcast creation, PA-equipment hire and event hosting, educational talks and training, advert and jingle creation.
Bizzy Lizzy and Dr Gav believe in approaching all projects and challenges with a
positive, passionate and pro-active attitude always focusing on solutions.
