Charity to raise money for neonatal ward at Leighton Hospital

GREAT NEWS for Valentines Day 2013!

Today it was announced at Leighton Hospital that the £1.8m target has been reached and work can start on the rebuild way ahead of schedule!

Do you know someone locally whose baby was born prematurely, underweight or with other complications? The chances are you might. Approximately 3,000 babies are born at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust each year, with one in eleven needing additional support ? ranging from a few hours of special care to a few weeks in an intensive care unit.

The Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity One in Eleven Appeal aims to raise £1 million for a new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to enhance the facilities at Mid Cheshire Hospitals. Where Will Your Money go? Our dedicated staff work tirelessly to provide a fantastic service for up to 15 newborn babies at any one time ? but we need a bigger and better space.

Every penny raised from this appeal will go towards a new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Leighton Hospital so families can feel safe, comfortable and more able to deal with the anxiety of such an emotional time. Our new facilities will ensure that we are able to serve our community in the long term.
